Ever

We rush through the hotel lobby, kiss on the elevator like long-lost lovers, and then dash through the sixth floor to Linus’s suite. I’m scared. I know what’s involved, but my experience in this arena is more than limited.

For years, I thought I was saving myself for marriage. Then I met Linus, and although I didn’t think it would be him, I thought if someone made me feel the way he makes me feel, then I may not be strong enough to say no.

What if I’m not any good? I think I can fake it until I make it, but he’s an older man. He’ll sniff me out.

Slamming the door behind us, he carries me into the bedroom and brings us both on the bed. I die. I’ve never been in bed with a man or a boy and now I’m lying next to him. His masculine scent, his warmth, his taste quickly overwhelms me. I tremble with need and reach out to pull him closer.

“I need you, Ever. This should be better. You deserve better than this, but I can’t wait anymore.” His eyes meet mine and his lips sweep in and render me helpless.

“This is your first time, isn’t it?”

I nod and bite my lip. “How did you know?”

“I know you. You plan everything. But some things can’t be planned, sweetheart.”

His hands trail the length of my torso, caressing my waist, smoothing my hips until his fingers meet the hem of my blouse and he pulls it over my head.

“Tonight, is about us. All about us.” He croons as he unlaces my bikini and lets my breasts fall into his hands. Undressing me slowly, he pulls off my shorts with my bikini bottoms and lays me on the bed, completely exposed for the first time.

My hands move to shield my body, but he pushes them aside. “Don’t hide from me. You’re mine.”

I balk. “Yours? That’s a big assumption, mister…”

He chuckles and hushes me by placing a finger to my lip.

Those fingers. That giant hand. Simply gorgeous.
